HV TOWER DEMOLITION

SkyLine provided scaffold towers, built off concrete piers, to access areas for placing the
demolition charges and cutting critical sections of the tower so the contractor could direct the
structure into the pre-prepared fall zone. The contractor could not use standard heavy
machinery because the tower was in a protected wetland with marsh-like conditions. Several
environmentally protected species call this island home, making it imperative that the
demolition was executed efficiently while ensuring the protection of the island and its
inhabitants.
